Royal Life Centers has been a leader in the drug and alcohol detox and addiction treatment field for years. Our detox centers are staffed by medical professionals, addiction therapists, psychiatrists, and other drug treatment specialists. Daily Schedule in Detox
- Breakfast: 9:30am-10:30am
- Group: 10:45am-11:45am
- Group: 12:30pm-1:30pm
- Lunch: 1:30pm-2:30pm
- Group: 2:30pm-3:30pm
- Group: 4:30pm-5:30pm
- Dinner: 6:00pm-7:00pm
- Group: 7:00pm-8:00pm
Group attendance during inpatient (detox and residential inpatient) is required, unless a guest is deemed medically unable to attend by a member of our staff.
Medication-Assisted Detox
Our medication-assisted detox program is based on a clinical assessment of each guest, followed by an approved medical regimen. Each plan is tailored to our individual guest’s needs to ensure maximum comfort through withdrawal and safe, effective tapering off of substances. Upon admittance to detox, guests are assigned a primary therapist, and our 24/7 nursing and support staff guarantees access to treatment resources if a guest’s primary therapist is unavailable.
Without professional supervision and medical monitoring, it is too easy for complications from withdrawal from drugs and/or alcohol to develop, which is why a safe, structured environment like ours is essential. Withdrawal is much more than the physical risks, however; once someone with a substance use disorder has tapered off substances, they must manage psychological risks. Continued support in a treatment setting is critical if the results of a medical detox are going to last, as detox is the first, most sensitive step toward recovery.
Length of Detox
Our detox program is a 4-8 day program. The length of your stay in detox is dependent on many factors, including: duration of drug or alcohol use, which substance or substances you were using, health condition, the need of medication-assisted detoxification with a medical taper, etc. Our medical professionals will meet with each guest individually and perform an assessment and evaluation to determine the best course of action for detox. Each guest is put on a medical detoxification protocol that addresses and treats his or her specific situation, needs, circumstances, etc. No part of our addiction treatment is generalized, our treatment is tailored specifically to the needs and goals of each individual guest— this is why the length of our detox program is dependent on the personal factors of each guest.
Therapy in Detox
Therapy is an excellent example of risk management, and our addiction therapists facilitate both group and individual therapy sessions and help guests to create individualized treatment plans. Royal Life Centers doesn’t believe in a “one size fits all” mentality— unlike other treatment facilities, we don’t pair our guests with pre-determined treatment tracks. Instead, we place special emphasis on creating unique plans that are tailored to individuals and their needs. In detox, group therapy sessions, designed to prepare guests for the next phase in their treatment plan and help address underlying issues that contribute to substance use disorder. Our group therapy covers topics ranging from self-discovery and life skills-building to emotion management and relapse prevention. The group therapy model allows for peer accountability and multiple perspectives. Guests also participate in one-on-one counseling with their primary therapist.
Our Department of Children and Family Services (DCF)-licensed detox centers are closed facilities, meaning guests can recover in a safe, secure, and supervised environment without outside distractions.
