Royal Life Centers understands the impact of substance use disorder on families, and Because We Care, we do our best to alleviate familial concerns about detox and treatment and do what we can to make the process as smooth as possible. Staffed 24/7 with medical professionals, our detox and residential facilities are designed so guests can focus their efforts on recovery in the safest, most comfortable environment without outside distractions.
We understand that families naturally want to check in on their loved ones and their progress during their time in treatment, however, due to HIPAA laws, we cannot disclose any information regarding a guest without that guests’ written consent. To clarify, Royal Life Centers will not release a guest’s medical records or provide any information regarding the guest prior to a signed HIPAA authorization form, as it would be a HIPAA violation.
HIPAA, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, is a federal law that imposes national standards to protect sensitive health information from being disclosed without the person’s consent or knowledge.
These restrictions can be avoided or amended should the guest complete a HIPAA Release of Information Form that lists the name of the person requesting their medical records. The HIPAA Release Form can be completed at any point during treatment to allow a family member access to their information. Likewise, the authorization can be revoked upon a guest’s request.
Upon entering Royal Life Centers, we suggest that your loved one bring between four and six changes of light, comfortable, and modest clothing with them. To guarantee that our facilities are a safe space, we ask that guests refrain from bringing potentially triggering clothing that references drugs or alcohol.
During detox, your loved one is under 24/7 surveillance as they recieve medical care from our team of addiction specialists and clinicians. In efforts to provide a secure and dependable environment, our staff complete routine room checks in addition to drug tests to monitor the levels of toxins with a guest’s system, ensuring an effective detoxification process.
Throughout your loved one’s stay at any of our detox or residential programs, they will enjoy the finest amenities. For maximum comfort and familiarity, all of our facilities include plasma TVs, spacious guest bedrooms, and entertainment centers. Each of our facilities incorporates top-notch nutritional programs consisting of three delicious, balanced meals per day prepared by our in-house culinary chef. On top of their daily meals, guests also have unlimited access to a variety of snacks and beverages.
Moreover, your loved one collaborates with their behavioral health therapist in quality counseling sessions while partaking in physician-approved medical regimens.
Following detox and inpatient treatment, guests may continue their time at Royal Life Centers within our Aftercare Program. Should your loved one choose to extend their time in treatment, they step down into our after program consisting of our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
Our aftercare programs are just as carefully designed and maintained as our detox and residential programs, and we hope that you’ll consider them as the next step in your loved one’s recovery journey.
At Royal Life Centers, each guest:
Once your loved one moves into the IOP portion of our Aftercare program, they are welcome to return home or move into our sober living residence, Royal Life Housing. Similarly, upon graduating from our aftercare program, guests are invited to transition into our Outpatient Program (OP) and stay in Royal’s Graduate house, our other sober living residence.
After your loved one has completed treatment and reentered society, it can be difficult to give them space. Trust is incredibly important in life and in recovery. Let your loved one know how proud you are and let your words and actions show that you trust them. Also, encouraging family members in recovery to attend recovery meetings like AA or NA is a wonderful way to promote their recovery maintenance. Additionally, we have a Royal Alumni Facebook page to continue our relationship with RLC Alumni who have completed our program.
We understand how difficult it can be to know what you can do to support your loved one in a healthy way when they are using drugs or alcohol.
